This course explores indoor air quality through the lens of two commonly available certification programs in North Carolina. The first hour of the course focuses on the EPA's Indoor AirPlus certification program. The general structure and process of the program is described, followed by a description of the point categories and strategies needed to qualify for the program. The second hour of the course describes the Greenbuilt Homes program, which is a North Carolina-based program that encompasses all aspects of green building. This presentation focuses specifically on that program's indoor air quality related pre-requisites and optional point category. Topics include: radon, combustion safety, VOCs, formaldehyde, ventilation systems, and moisture management.
