Project Architect or Staff

As a Full-time Project Architect or Staff, you will actively participate in the design process and oversee the successful completion of projects throughout their construction phase. An ideal candidate for this role should possess a creative and design-oriented mindset, coupled with attentiveness and self-motivation. They should thrive in a highly collaborative environment and be adept at working under the guidance of the studio’s Principal and Senior Architect, while simultaneously leading and fostering the development of staff. The Project Architect or Staff is expected to maintain a healthy work-life balance while executing projects at an exceptional level. The Project Architect candidate must hold, or be on the path to obtaining a valid license in architecture. Project Architect and Staff must have years of previous work experience in a U.S. architecture firm. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

● 5-9 years of professional experience post-graduation 

● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree(s) in architecture by a U.S. accredited NAAB institution 

● Licensed architect preferred in any jurisdiction in the U.S. 

● LEED Accredited professional is a plus 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

● Proficient in Revit and Managing projects in Autodesk Construction Cloud 

● Proficient in SketchUp 

● Proficient model making skills 

● Experience using laser cutters and 3D printers for model making is a plus 

● Proficient in project visualization and representation of projects, including renderings 

● Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator 

● Strong knowledge of creating effective and efficient design presentations and printed materials 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

● Collaborating with a talented and creative design team to help inform the design development of the studio’s projects 

● Participating in weekly design meetings and studio meetings with the design team 

● Working closely with the principal to execute conceptual design goals and objectives 

● Creatively working with the entire design team to develop the project deliverables including schematic design, design development and construction documents under the leadership of a licensed architect 

● Aligning with AJA’s licensed design professionals to participate in the construction administration of the candidate’s assigned project(s) 

● Engaging in creative design solutions and materials research 

● Desire and ability to be mentored and nurtured in a rigorous, yet highly collaborative studio
