WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A RESIDENTIAL PROJECT ARCHITECT

Brings creative vision and an inquisitive workstyle. Is detail-oriented, motivated, and passionate in their approach to traditional residential architecture and design. Possess strong time management, communication, documentation, field observation, technical, and project management skills.

RESIDENTIAL PROJECT ARCHITECT OVERVIEW

  • Broad-based design skills with an emphasis on classical architecture 

  • Develop and successfully maintain client relationships throughout all architectural phases of our services

  • Work closely with clients, team members, engineers, consultants, HOA’s, HDC’s and other project contributors

  • Produce comprehensive construction documents and specifications utilizing ArchiCAD

  • Technical implementation of design into working drawings and construction

  • High level of construction knowledge and field experience

  • Contribute to supportive and evolving design culture through collaborative approach and mentorship

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 4+ years professional architectural experience; well-rounded in all aspects of residential custom design and renovation projects

  • Minimum of a B.Arch. from an accredited university required (M.Arch. or D.Arch. preferred)

  • Registered Architect/NC licensure preferred (Support offered with licensure process)

  • Motivated and passionate about traditional residential design

  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, construction materials, methods, and standards

  • Strong documentation and field observation skills

  • Ability to successfully manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships

  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills

  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and streamline processes to ensure deadlines are met

  • Working knowledge of LEED principles and BIM software

  • High level of CAD proficiency required; Archicad preferred

  • Experience with 3D visualization software (Lumion) and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

NOTE

This is a full-time, in office position; therefore, applicants must reside or be willing to relocate to the greater Charlotte metro area.  No third-party service providers will be considered as this is a direct hire position.
