Architectural Designer
Vinyet is a collaborative studio that specializes in commercial and residential architecture throughout the Southeast. We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new office in Charlotte and are seeking a motivated and talented Architectural Designer or newly licensed Architect to join our growing commercial team. With 3 - 5 years of professional experience, the ideal candidate will be a creative and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in project documentation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, collaborative group where your creativity and skills will have a direct and visible impact.
Responsibilities
Produce top-tier construction and presentation documents in support of multiple commercial projects under the direction of a Project Manager.
Collaborate with the project team on conceptual and schematic design, including the development plans, details, and specifications.
Assist with construction administration tasks, such as reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and processing project submittals.
Ensure all designs and documentation comply with relevant building codes and zoning requirements.
Work closely with project managers and senior architects to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in an architectural office.
Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
Proficiency and passion for interior and exterior architectural design, including spatial planning and material selections.
Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and technical detailing for compliant and efficient design solutions.
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development.
A collaborative spirit and a passion for creating exceptional architectural solutions.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position based in our new Charlotte studio. You will be an essential part of a small, dynamic team, where your contributions will be highly valued and your voice heard. We foster a relaxed, casual atmosphere that encourages direct and transparent communication among all designers. The small size of our studio allows for greater creative freedom and a more direct sense of ownership over your work. We believe in a collaborative and supportive culture where everyone’s input contributes to our collective success.
