Architect / Education Market Practice Leader
FleischmanGarciaMaslowski Architecture is currently seeking an exceptional Architect / Education Market Practice Leader. The Education Market Practice Leader is a senior-level strategic role responsible for driving growth, innovation, and design excellence within the education sector (K-12 and higher education). As a collaborative leader, the Education Market Leader will work closely with firm leadership, design teams, and marketing to expand the firm’s footprint in the education sector while mentoring emerging talent and contributing to firm-wide strategy.
Required skills include:
Develop client relationships nationally, focused on those in need or our professional services within the educational market
Initiate strategies and talking points to secure work via thought leadership, seminar presentations, responses to RFQ/RFP solicitations and project proposals.
Knowledge of SREF
Exceptional oral presentation and written communication skills, ability to lead others and build confidence in client prospects
Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (LEED, WELL, Net Zero) as they apply to educational facilities
Required experience includes:
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch); licensure preferred
12+ years of relevant experience, with a strong portfolio of education projects
Proven ability to develop and grow market sectors and client relationships
Deep knowledge of educational programming, design, and pedagogical trends
Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple project types and scales, Familiarity with funding, planning, and regulatory environments in education.
Demonstrated history of building long-term relationships with team members and clients. The best candidate will have demonstrated experience in building ground-up relationships with client prospects
